Financing the Green Transition: The Role of Development Banks at G20
As Brazil hosts this year’s G20 summit, the urgency for effective climate finance solutions is greater than ever. With global temperatures rising, Brazil stands ready to lead as a G20 member and the future host of COP30. Achieving the R$1 trillion needed by 2030 to reduce emissions will require innovative funding mechanisms.

Development banks play a key role in mobilizing capital for climate action, but challenges like regulatory barriers and limited technical capacity slow progress. This event brings together finance, government, and civil society leaders to explore how development banks can drive Brazil’s green transition and align investments with climate goals.
How can climate finance be mobilized to secure a low-carbon, resilient future?
