Originally developed inside the UK government, Deliverology® has been applied in over 50 countries across 6 continents. While it began in government, it’s now used by a wide range of public sector organizations—including philanthropies, multilaterals, and global funds.
It combines a proven, structured methodology—setting clear goals, using data, and solving problems—with a way of working that balances flexibility and accountability. It’s not just about hitting targets—it’s about helping teams follow through, adapt in real time, and stay focused on outcomes that last.
From UK roots to global reach
Delivery Associates was founded in 2013 by Sir Michael Barber, based on insights gained while leading the UK Government’s Delivery Unit under Prime Minister Tony Blair.
2001 - 2005
Delivery Associates Founder, Sir Michael Barber, is appointed Head of the UK Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit. The concept of “Deliverology®” is born.
2013
Delivery Associates is established as a consultancy to bring the method to governments around the world.
