Tushar Vohra
- Master of Public Policy, Harvard Kennedy School
- Bachelor of Commerce (Honors), Delhi University
Tushar is supporting the development of a Delivery Unit for New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ workforce development initiative. He is also working on a strategy to help a large philanthropy scale up tested, innovative ideas across cities with similar needs.
Tushar began his work in education with the Teach For India Fellowship (TFI), where he spent two years teaching in an underserved school. He then spent two years as a manager and teacher coach. After that, Tushar moved into social impact and public sector consulting roles. He joined the International Innovation Corps (U. Chicago) which works with governments to solve complex challenges in India’s public sector. Tushar also spent two years with Boston Consulting Group on a large-scale education system transformation project, designing and implementing a range of strategic initiatives impacting 4.6 million students. This involved managing a multi-stakeholder coalition of senior bureaucrats, field officers, nonprofits, technical experts, teacher unions, and a cultivated group of academic experts. The project deepened his understanding of state machinery and of how to utilize a systems approach that is grounded in reality to achieve strong development outcomes at scale. Tushar completed his Master’s in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School.
