Mawande Ngidi

Delivery Experience

Mawande has been working to develop a program that will improve data-driven decision-making in 10 cities across 6 countries in Africa. The program will support mayors and their teams to make better decisions by providing them with access to dedicated support through a tailored program to improve city data practices.

Other Experience

Prior to joining Delivery Associates, Mawande was a director in the Gauteng Premier’s delivery support unit, where he worked with the provincial executive and senior management to drive delivery for two economic sector departments (the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Infrastructure Development). In this role, he used delivery tools to help develop and implement plans.

During this time, Mawande was selected to join the COVID-19 Provincial Disaster Management Command Council’s Project Management Office to coordinate the provincial health infrastructure workstream. Before that, he worked as a researcher with a focus on spatial analytics and regional economic and infrastructure planning for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in South Africa. There, he worked with all levels of the South African Government to support planning and project implementation through research and data analysis.
