Diana has supported state education agencies in Indiana to drive cross-agency planning, incorporate stakeholder feedback into new high school graduation requirements, and strategize their implementation. She has also assisted local governments in Texas, Kentucky, and Florida by building coalitions and helping them submit competitive federal grant applications to implement K-12 and workforce pathway programs.
Her work includes co-creating a strategic plan for a Texas nonprofit focused on increasing post-secondary enrollment in the county, collaborating with school districts and key partners to ensure effective implementation. Additionally, Diana has contributed to training financial leaders from 28 U.S. cities on strategies to address budget crises and strengthen equity commitments in the wake of COVID-19.
Prior to joining Delivery Associates, Diana worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, where, in collaboration with local authorities, she designed, implemented, and evaluated programs to improve education access and quality in Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, and Peru. She also conducted research on teacher policies and socio-emotional learning in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Additionally, Diana worked for over three years in the Peruvian public sector, where she planned the implementation of a new meritocratic teacher law. The law included new evaluations and benefits for over 300,000 teachers. She also coordinated with different organizations to estimate the infrastructure gap in basic education, which was used as a roadmap for future education infrastructure projects.
