Summary
Amy is an Associate Director and co-leads the North America region at DA. She oversees a portfolio of client work in the U.S. focused on K-12, workforce, economic mobility, criminal justice, and government reform. Her area of expertise is designing and shaping technical assistance and support for U.S. communities, having conceptualized, built, and led programs like the American Cities Climate Challenge, the Bloomberg COVID-19 Local Response Initiative, the Local Infrastructure Hub, and the Community Funding Accelerator. She is based in Washington, D.C., with her husband, son, and two cats.

Delivery Experience
  • Government implementation and reform: Supported the improvement of service delivery in Los Angeles County, enabling its alternative crisis response programs to reach residents in crisis 60% faster; provided strategic advice and design support to deliver the most inclusive gubernatorial transition in the state’s history through Maryland Gov. Wes Moore’s transition team.
  • Program design and execution: Designed and launched multiple large-scale technical assistance programs engaging dozens of partners and hundreds of constituents, from conception and ideation through launch, implementation, evaluation, and close-out. 
  • Strategic partnership: Partnered with large, national philanthropies and nonprofits to help drive investment or policy strategies for portfolios of over $100M; provided subject-matter and design expertise informing grantee due diligence, portfolio governance, and operation model.
Other Experience

Prior to joining DA, Amy was a policy analyst in CA Governor Jerry Brown's office, preceded by her experience as a digital analytics consultant at Deloitte and Accenture. She was awarded an MPP for her work studying international climate agreements and negotiations between vulnerable parties. While obtaining her degree in Mechanical Engineering, Amy spent 3 years as a thermal engineering analyst at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where she helped design and test thermal protection systems for satellites now orbiting the moon and Earth.
