Alexandra is currently working with a partner organization to implement their renewed early learning strategy to improve outcomes for young children across the United States.
Prior to joining Delivery Associates, Alexandra was the assistant director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Brookings. There, she built and led operations for 17 Rooms, an initiative of Brookings and The Rockefeller Foundation that convenes leading experts and decision-makers to generate novel insights and accelerate global-level policy action for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In this role, she stewarded multi-stakeholder “SWAT teams of action.” The teams’ work ranged from advancing a global fund to eradicate extreme poverty through cash transfers to supporting cities to tackle care and climate crises simultaneously.
Earlier, Alexandra managed the International Youth Foundation’s $8M portfolio of public-sector education and economic opportunity projects in Mozambique in partnership with Mozambique’s Ministry of Labor, Mastercard Foundation, and South32/Mozal. She also has experience researching gender equality in Central Asia with the World Bank. Alexandra began her career as a secondary school teacher in Cabo Verde and Mozambique with the U.S. Peace Corps.
