Adarsh Shah

Adarsh is currently working on economic and workforce development in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan, as well as supporting a cohort of cities developing solutions at the intersection of climate change and racial wealth equity.
Prior to joining DA, Adarsh worked primarily in public health implementation and policy alongside government partners in contexts ranging from rural health clinics to urban refugee camps.
Examples of his past work include producing policy recommendations for the New York City Department of Public Health on how to tackle racial and insurance payer segregation in hospitals, designing and implementing a modeling tool for governmental and NGO leaders to measure progress towards universal health coverage targets, and co-leading a primary healthcare costing analysis with the Ministry of Health in Sierra Leone that informed the expansion of national health services.
He has also spent time working as a community organizer and professional actor.
