SUMMARY
Delivery Associates announces board changes as co-founder Leigh Sandals takes the helm.

April 16th, 2024, London - Delivery Associates, a global consultancy dedicated to driving impact in the public sector, has announced a transition in its board leadership. Leigh Sandals, a co-founder of the firm, will step into the role of Board Chair, effective 2nd May 2024. This strategic move comes as Sir Michael Barber, the pioneer behind Deliverology®, transitions from day-to-day management of Delivery Associates to the role of Chair Emeritus.

Leigh Sandals is an expert on delivery and organisational effectiveness and has worked alongside Sir Michael Barber for over 20 years. Through his role at Delivery Associates, he has advised many different organisations and governments across the world. In particular, he has extensive experience with the Government of New South Wales in Australia, working alongside the Premier’s Implementation Unit.

Reflecting on a decade of growth and success, Sir Michael Barber states, “Ten years ago, we founded Delivery Associates with a clear mission to help governments and other organisations deliver results and make change happen. Since then, we have grown to over 200 colleagues in 42 countries, working with partners on some of the most pressing issues facing the world today".

“This is the right time for me to allow the next generation of our leaders to step up and ensure we can continue this important work. I am confident that with Leigh as Chair, Nick as CEO, a brilliant senior management team in place, and Trill Impact as our partner, Delivery Associates will only continue to get stronger and help drive more meaningful change around the world”.

Leigh Sandals, a co-founder of the firm, will transition to Board Chair effective 2nd May 2024

Reflecting on the new role, Leigh Sandals remarks, "It is a huge honour to become the Chair of an organisation that I have been a part of for ten years. I’ve been with Delivery Associates since day one and I will always have the founding spirit in my heart. I would like to personally thank Michael for all of his support, but also, on behalf of all our colleagues and partners, I’d also like to thank him for the unique insight, guidance and wisdom he has given to us all over the years”.

Accompanying this transition, Delivery Associates is making some strategic changes to bolster its governance further. Katrin Suder, who is already a member of Delivery Associates’ Advisory Council, will succeed Sir Michael as Chair of the Advisory Council effective from 20th June 2024. Katrin is a former State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry and is currently the Chair of the digital council of the German Federal Government and a Senior Fellow at Hertie School.

Denise Todd, a founding member of Delivery Associates and former Chief Operating Officer, transitions to a pivotal role as Board Director to lead governance and the board secretariat.

Gui Trivellato, who has been with the firm for eight years, will step into the role as Director and Chief Operating Officer.

Leigh Sandals adds, "As an organisation, we are at one of the most exciting stages of our journey as we continue to work on some of the hardest delivery challenges – from tackling climate change to poverty reduction. The work is only getting more necessary and important, and it is this urgency and challenge that drives us all”.
