Delivery Leader (Senegal)
Are you passionate about delivering genuine impact in a multi-national large scale project? As a Delivery Leader on our Learning & Impact team within the project, you will work with colleagues to execute the overall programme strategy for our clients, helping to guide and support your embedded colleagues on the ground in 10+ countries. You will work closely with our lead Delivery Leader on Design & Capacity Enhancement, our Monitoring & Evaluation Delivery Leader, the Project Management Office and “Embeds” - delivery coaches embedded in project countries supported by our development partners.
This consultancy role is a 6-month contract opportunity for a fluent French and English speaker. The successful candidate should be based in Francophone Africa (ideally Senegal or Cote d'Ivoire). The work itself is remote with minimal travel.
Key Responsibilities.
- Work closely with the Lead DL for Learning & Impact to execute the L&I strategy, and help deliver key milestones and deliverables (with a focus on design and capacity enhancement)
- Support Embeds in their Team-of-Teams structure - providing advice, coaching and problem-solving support to help drive delivery of the strategy on the ground, and ensure the learning from the ground shapes our central strategic design
- Support on executing select and prioritized design cycles to iterate particular aRBM tools and products in line with our design thinking approach (already developed)
- Support the Lead DL on developing vF of the aRBM (adaptive results-based management) Handbook which serves as a cornerstone deliverable for the client (capturing the full model we are developing to integrate into our client’s ecosystem for sustainable use and ownership)
- Work with the MEL DL on any crossover between Design and the MEL learning strategy for the program
- Work closely with our technical design advisors and specialists on iterative improvement of our aRBM tools and products
- Develop content for client reporting, including our quarterly memos and annual programme reviews, in line with the MEL teams agenda
- Actively contribute to DA’s internal routines, and engage peers in peer-review and zero defecting of key deliverables and milestones

Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent requisite experience
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant, full time work experience in government, consulting, public policy, project management and/or impact measurement
- Proficiency in delivery tools and methods, with the ability to adapt them based on user-needs
- Demonstrated experience developing products in previous work and engagements
- Ability to lead with others collaboratively, driven by realities on the ground and those closest to implementation/impact, rather than a directive or standardised approach)
- Demonstrated ability to produce zero defect deliverables
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritise and forward plan effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead dialogue with partners, as well as other internal and external stakeholders
- A positive and solutions-oriented outlook on the potential for governments to deliver meaningful results for people
- Experience using google suite, MS Office Suite, MS Teams and SharePoint
- A basic understanding of, and keen interest in, the design thinking approach
- Fluent written and spoken French and English is essential
